The Best Way To Cool Your Attic

Attic fans are one of those things that few people think about. But they can make a huge difference if you live in a place that deals with high heat. In this episode, we talk about how attic fans can help keep your entire home cool. We also go over some considerations when installing one.

Attic fans push hot air out of your attic so that less heat transfers to the rest of your home. There are a couple of types to choose from, including a gable fan and a roof fan. You can build a gable fan into the side of the home. A roof fan sticks in from the roof if that’s not an option.

Because attic fans keep the air in your attic cooler, it doesn’t add more heat to the rest of your home. That means your air conditioner doesn’t have to work as hard, so it can last longer. It also means your home can cool down faster. But you will want to keep it clean and free of bird nests.

We go over some other benefits and considerations of an attic fan in the video. If you’re considering adding an attic fan to your home, Any Hour Services would be happy to help. One of our licensed electricians can give you a free estimate of what it would take for your attic. You can give us a call or schedule an appointment online.
