Are You Being Lied to About Furnace Maintenance?

There are different views on getting your furnace regularly serviced or tuned up. It’s common to hear professionals say it’s not important. But the manual for your system actually tells you to get it regularly serviced. In this episode, we go over the reasons why maintaining your furnace is worth it.

If you have low pressure in one of your tires, your car will still get you from A to B. But having it out of balance that way can cause damage over time that will shorten its lifespan. The same thing happens when your furnace has a weak component.

Manufacturers want their furnaces to last. They want a reputation for making a good product. So, they added a line in the owner’s manual to help with that. “In addition to the maintenance that you perform yourself, you should have your system inspected regularly by a properly trained technician.”

If you miss the maintenance on your furnace for a year or two, it’s not guaranteed to break down. But if you do get it done every year, your furnace will perform better and last for years longer than it would otherwise. We go over a list of some of the things that we check in a furnace tune-up in the video. If you want to get your furnace tuned up this year, Any Hour Serviced would be happy to help. You can give us a call or schedule an appointment online.
