How To Protect Your Home When The Power Goes Out

If you want to keep your power working when there’s a power outage, you have a couple of basic options. The first is a portable generator. The second is a permanent standby generator. In this video, we’re going over standby generators, including what to know if you’re considering one.

Professionals install standby generators as part of your home systems. They’re wired into your circuits and piped into the gas. That way you never have to worry about connecting them or refilling the fuel. On top of that, you can program some to turn on when the power goes out.

As convenient as that is, there are some things to consider if you’re thinking about getting one. The first thing is what you want to power. That will let you work with an electrician to find the right options for your needs. Beyond that, we go over several other considerations in the video.

If you’re considering a generator for your home, Any Hour Services would be happy to help. One of our licensed electricians can come to your home and assess your situation. Then they can work with you to find the right option for you and your family. You can give us a call or schedule an appointment online.
