4 Electrical Questions For Remodeling Your Kitchen
Remodeling your kitchen is a big project to tackle. On top of that, your kitchen uses more electricity than most of the rest of your home. Because there’s so much of it, in this episode we’re focusing on electrical work when it comes to remodeling a kitchen.
When you’re getting ready to remodel your kitchen, there are a lot of questions to think about. When was your house built? When you use your kitchen, are there any circuits often trip? What are your trying to power? What is your lighting plan? We go over some possibilities in the video.
If you’re planning on doing some of the work yourself, then there are some steps to take first. Make sure your power and gas are off before you start. Then look and see where everything’s attached to avoid a bank of cabinets crashing onto you. Picking up a light-up power tester can be a good idea too.
You might decide to have professional help with the remodel instead. In that case, you want to know that the person you’re working with is a good fit. Looking up their license can be a great way to see if they know what they’re doing. Checking online reviews is another option. The best thing you can do is pay attention to how you feel when talking to them. That can be a huge indicator if you’ll work together well.
