What Do You Do If You Have A Gas Leak?

Have you ever had to deal with a rotten-egg smell after someone worked on your pipes? In this episode, we’re going to talk about why it’s so important to check for gas leaks and how to do it. We’ll also go over a few situations where a gas leak might happen.

While they aren’t the most common problem in the world, gas leaks do happen, and they should never be ignored. Even a small leak can become life-threatening if left alone. In fact, the rotten-egg smell that comes with your gas is an additive put there to warn you of a leak.

If you ever smell a gas leak and you don’t know where it’s coming from, get out of the house and call the gas company. If you know where the shutoff is, shut it off and call someone to fix it. There should be a shutoff attached to each fixture if your systems are up to code.

We go over more steps you can take if you realize you may have a gas leak in the video. And if you need someone to come out and fix a leak, Any Hour Services would be happy to help. Call or schedule an appointment online.
