All About Reverse Osmosis Systems

Have you ever gotten a glass of water from the faucet that left you with a foul aftertaste? Or are you concerned with some of the contaminants in your water? In this episode, we're talking about reverse osmosis systems. We’ll go over how they work, how they help, and why you might want one.

Reverse osmosis, or RO, is a process of filtering 99.9% of contaminants from your water. A reverse osmosis system has one job — to remove anything that isn’t water from the water you drink. It can improve the taste and remove any unpleasant aftertaste and harmful pollutants.

On top of that, a lot of minerals in the water are in the wrong format for your body to accept. Calcium is one of the more common ones that have the wrong molecular structure. An RO system can remove those minerals your body can't use, which can also help protect your fixtures.

We also go over other dissolved solids in the video, such as arsenic, that reverse osmosis can remove. If you want to know what's in your water, you can buy testers for things like hardness, chlorine, and PH levels. If you want a more detailed report, many water filtration companies can test your water for you.
